  1. Match report

    False start in championship pool

After a wonderful winter break, Saturday was league time for PSV O14. Immediately on the schedule was a topper, and it was to Feyenoord Rotterdam. Because of past matches between the two teams, we know it was going to be a great game.

In the first ten minutes, it was immediately clear how the game would go, PSV with a lot of football and Feyenoord wanting to get to the enemy goal much faster. It is Onesime Zimuangana who after about twelve minutes, has already missed two big chances. Twice alone in front of the goalkeeper, surely one goal should result. But PSV remained the footballing team, but did not get beyond Feyenoord's 16-meter area. Feyenoord was dangerous with every breakout they made. In the 18th minute, PSV couldn't get the ball away, and a Feyenoord player was able to strike out. The PSV goalie did not control the swabbing ball well, giving Feyenoord the lead. In minute 25, the referee saw a penalty in a foul made by PSV's Floris Bos. Almost Steijn was able to stop him, but the fingers were just too short. The 3-0 also fell before the halftime signal. A goal for Feyenoord in the 30th minute made it 3-0 at halftime.

After halftime the same picture, PSV footballing and Feyenoord life-threatening in the counter. The corner ratio of 2-8 says it all. PSV still cannot score, they are doing well up to the penalty area, but in the final stages they are too inaccurate. Feyenoord did manage to capitalize on a chance, making the final score 4-0.
