  1. Match report

After the full days between Christmas and New Year, today the weight-loss race begins again. And it is the waste race to the championship. One thing is certain. Roda has already dropped out.
The first half begins stormily under a lovely spring sunshine. Within 48 sec it is Alberto who puts the score at 0-1 after a well taken free kick by Olivier. After that it is less. No experience, no fight. Everything is too weak. So weak even that Roda got the impression that they could get points against the leaders because we still are. Little goes right. Wrong choices and no winning duels and under the lovely sun (in the first half) it is very difficult for us to see the difference between our red and their yellow.
At halftime, the coach put the finishing touches to the game in a way only he can. After looking in the mirror, we go back on the field for the second half. It is then a lot less pleasant on the bench, the sun is gone and the trainer's words have an effect.
It takes about seven minutes before Hiwat gets through on the left and from his cross Moussa manages to put the liberating 0 -2 on the board with a low tight shot. Roda seems broken but still struggles a bit. Again it was Moussa who left the defense defenseless with a solo and 0-3 was a fact. Roda is on their back and we are ready to push on.
Niels also soloed through the defense from the halfway line and managed to send several defenders into the Limburg woods with a nice drag and put the 0 - 4 on the board. Just before time it was Junior (or is it senior now) who scored the final score from a penalty shot.
Men it was good that we resumed the league today against Roda because this is not how we can start against Feyenoord and Ajax. At least if we want to compete for first place. But I am sure that next week it will all come right. We'll go to Rotterdam and continue the path to place one.
Today is just a little dip. And everyone knows: When you're in the doldrums, don't dig any further.
    Good luck next week.
    Goodbye.
