    The report

In the tenth league match of the season, PSV O15 faced FC Utrecht in the city of Dom. PSV had collected 17 points from 9 games before the start, opponent Utrecht had 12 points after 10 games. Yet it was not going to be an easy match, because earlier in Eindhoven it was 2-2 after a fine comeback. Would the team be able to take the full prize today?

From the first moment, PSV was the team that had the most ball possession. It quietly looked for a hole in the Utrecht defense. Utrecht played on the counter and lurked on the switch. This way they could put their fast attackers in their power. After PSV missed two opportunities, the home team took the lead after 13 minutes. A shot went in via the inside of the post. PSV had to recover and got a few chances before half time: shots by Iggy Houben, Chahid el Allachi and Jaivy Lourens did not hit the target. And after a smooth attack via Ruben van Bommel and Shi-jon Martina, the latter could not reach a teammate with his cross.

In the second half, PSV had to draw from a different keg to turn the game around. However, the first big chance was for the home team. In the 45th minute, PSV came alongside. Iggy received the ball in the sixteen, was forced outside and Utrecht seemed to neutralize the danger. But with an unparalleled hooded move, he sent two opponents into the woods and faced the goal. With a slide into the far corner, he passed the goalkeeper and scored the 1-1. A few minutes later, however, it was 2-1 again. Again, it was a fast outfielder who came through on the flank, laid the ball wide after which a Utrechter scored the 2-1. PSV again had to chase and thought they should have a penalty two minutes later when Jason van Duiven was tapped. The referee hesitated for a moment, but allowed play to continue. With more than 10 minutes to play, PSV did get a penalty. Jason was slightly held up and the referee decided it was enough for a penalty. Iggy took care of it and did not fail: 2-2. But again, PSV could not enjoy the equalizer for long. Only two minutes later the home team took the lead again. Again it was the speedy outfielder who hurt PSV. The team did not recover from this blow and lost this match. A deserved defeat for the Eindhoven players who did not show enough today to claim more.
