Today a foreign duel was scheduled at the beautifully located sports park of the Belgian Lommel United. Unfortunately, the playing field was of poor quality. We had barely gotten used to the poor pitch when weak defensive play put us behind 1-0 in the first minute. This score remained on the scoreboard after a leaden physical 1st period.

In the second period it quickly became clear that Lommel had wasted too much energy in the first half. PSV scored as many as five goals. After a stinging pass from Mylian, Joey tied the score 1-1. After a Lommel defensive error, PSV took the lead through Mylian
1-2. Soon after, it was 1-3 by Joey who took advantage of a mistake by the Belgian goalkeeper. Then Mylian shot on goal with a bounce shot. Deveron was in the right place to finish off the rebound 1-4. From a corner kick by Mylian, Joey was able to finish from close range 1-5.

In the third and final period, PSV would score two more goals. Joey broke through on the left and with a tight cross managed to put Martijn in position who shot well 1-6. After nice pinging work by Nassim, Mylian was able to work the ball into the net 1-7. After PSV started playing with 2 defenders Lommel could almost score a couple of times. However Kevin prevented this with good goalkeeping.

As a team we played excellent today. Especially the second period was excellent. Enjoyed your effort and congratulations to all players.
