    In the beginning of the match, both sides were evenly matched. PSV had some opportunities to score but PSV was not accurate enough in the passing in this phase of the match. Gradually in the first half, PSV took control of the match. TSC was under pressure and tried to score through a counter. However, PSV was in control of the game and that resulted in the lead in the 25th minute through a brilliant combination through the heart of the TSC defense. Djurre passed the ball to Jeremy who rebounded the ball to the in running Amin. Amin shot the ball into the far corner 0-1. PSV kept TSC under pressure but did not get any more chances in the first half.

    In the second half, PSV continued on the same footing. TSC tried to put PSV under more pressure but PSV came out very well each time. PSV had some opportunities to score in the first part of the second half but they were not exploited. PSV's defense stood well so TSC had no opportunities to even get close to the PSV goal. It took until the 50th minute before PSV put the game away. Heritier snatched the ball from a TSC defender. With a short sprint, he ran free and shot the ball into the far corner, 0-2. Five minutes later, PSV managed to extend the score further. A cross from Djurre put Genrich free in front of the goalkeeper and he shot the ball into the far corner, 0-3. In the last minute, a kick from a TSC defender was intercepted by Genrich. The ball came into the feet of Jeremy who shot the 0-4. In injury time, PSV had a few more opportunities to score. However, three shots were worked out of the goal by the TSC goalkeeper, making the final score 0-4.
