  1. Match report

PSV E1 was under the direction of Pascal Jansen and Andre Ooijer today. Both teams immediately got off to a fierce start. Both MVV and PSV were restless on the ball. This resulted in unnecessary ball loss by both teams. MVV had a field advantage in the first half, but could not create any clear-cut chances. Most of the shots went wide of the goal. At the end of the first half Sven had a good opportunity to give PSV the lead. Unfortunately that shot also went just wide.

In the second period PSV was calmer on the ball and went fantastic. On a cross from Julian, Seb was able to head free in front of the goal. Unfortunately just over the bar. Despite the fantastic play, PSV had to allow MVV to take the lead. A cross from the right side went straight into the goal because the MVV striker was in the way of our goalie 0-1. PSV just kept on playing good football and not much later got the deserved equalizer. After Julian intercepted a falling ball Floris was able to shoot the ball into the ropes with a fantastic volley. A world class goal Floris. In the final minute of this period Sven shot the ball onto the post from the right.

In the third period both teams continued to play good football. Unfortunately PSV lost the ball in the build-up, allowing MVV to score easily 1-2. PSV went on the hunt for the equalizer which eventually did not succeed. Towards the end of the third period there was a big chance for MVV. Fortunately the shot went just over. Shortly afterwards another big chance for Joris who shot just wide. Final score 1-2.

You did your best today. You played fantastic football and we enjoyed it. Compliments to everyone and maybe you deserved a draw. Trainers Pascal and Andre would like to see you again.
