On this chilly Saturday morning, the exciting duel with Roda JC 2 was scheduled. The match started at a very high tempo and that was to PSV's credit. Fairly quickly, PSV took a 1-0 lead after a fine counter. Jesper, who was at the base of the goal, gave the ball to Nassim and he finished neatly. After the first goal it was already clear that PSV would make a great game of it. It was hard for Roda to keep up with the pace, as the fouls showed. The second dangerous attack was a good opportunity for Joep, but he headed the ball onto the post and Jesse shot high over in the rebound. PSV kept on attacking and basically played Roda JC off the field. 2-0 came about after a nice rush by Mylian, who handed the ball off to Joep and he made it 2-0. The 3-0 was a bit nasty for Roda, because after a cross that changed direction, the ball falls in and Roda's goalkeeper is defenseless. Then Roda surprisingly attacks and manages to score: 3-1. But less than 2 minutes later, it is already 4-1. Nassim makes a nice action and gives a cross ball to Deveron and he manages to shoot in in a controlled manner. The score quickly increased as it became, via a header by Jesse 5-1. At the 6-1 Joep sets up an attack and finally passes the ball to Mylian, who shoots beautifully into the far corner. Again Roda comes out well and manages to score again right away: 6-2. But Mylian manages to tap the ball in from a quick counter, making it 7-2. Joep didn't need any help at all to score the 8-2. After a good dribble, he got the ball with some luck and scored. 9-2 was a beautiful free kick by Nassim, which flew right in. After another nice solo by Joep, 10 was on the scoreboard. He was also involved in the 11-2 again, as his action allowed Nassim to shoot in.
