Regular win F1
Today the home match against RKVVO was scheduled for F1. This opponent had also won both their first matches. A real winner!
Under fine conditions (nice sunshine, wet field) it was soon clear that this opponent was physically stronger than the previous opponents this competition. A monster result was certainly not in the cards this time. Especially with the knowledge that Armando (injured) and Cody (PSV E2) did not play.
In the beginning it was mainly Ruud who created most of the danger with his dribbling. However, he was a bit unfortunate in his finishing.
It was James who broke the game open this week. He crowned a great solo with a "tap in wide" that was rounded off by Luc. The resistance was immediately broken.
A shot by Ruud was not handled well by the goalkeeper and Jordan immediately took advantage: 2-0.
Robin got the hang of it. First an unparalleled drag on the back line with the overview to let James score the 3-0, and then a large number of passing moves in succession to score the 4-0 himself. Merijn had to act once, but the low shot was handled well.
Just before half time Ruud scored the 5-0 with a dry shot.
The second half went a little less smoothly. The actions were there, but every time they were blocked by the RKVVO wall. Baggio was the only one to score. He made a devastating save after the ball came back through the post after an action by Jordan. The fact that RKVVO did not score against him was due to an excellent save by Pepijn who was able to push the ball against the post with his fingertips.
Final score 6-0.
