On this cold Saturday morning, Fortuna Sittard came to visit PSV E2. Fortuna is physically a strong team and can be very dangerous from standard situations. The start was difficult on PSV's side. The team struggled to make the game and play nice football. The chances PSV got were stopped by Fortuna's goalkeeper. PSV tried to play attacking, but was surprised twice by Fortuna. The 0-1 was scored from the corner.

After the 1st break, the game remained pretty much the same. PSV tried to get into the game and Fortuna lurked on the counter to punish every mistake PSV made. This did happen. Again PSV was surprised from a corner and was 0-2 behind. Fortunately for PSV, striker Jaivy stood up, he shot from distance and he made it 1-2. Unfortunately, a few minutes later Fortuna Sittard scored from a razor-sharp counter and suddenly it was 1-3. PSV did not give up and it fought its way back into the game. Giovanni gave the assist with a far out kick, from which Sven managed to score and it was 2-3. A few minutes later Lars lashed out and PSV equalized again: 3-3.

Towards the end of the game Fortuna became more and more dangerous and eventually that resulted in a 3-4 lead. PSV was unable to turn the deficit around. In the closing stages Fortuna managed to score once more and determined the final score at 3-5, in favor of Fortuna Sittard.

PSV worked very hard for a good result. Unfortunately it was not to be today. That's a pity, but that can just happen. On to the next match!
