  1. Match report

On a moderate pitch and with a very strong wind, Helmond Sport visited PSV for the second time in this series. The first part of this match was evenly matched. Both teams got as many chances but failed to capitalize on them. Helmond Sport's goalkeeper stopped everything and PSV's Kevin did the same. The score after 20 minutes was rightly 0-0.

The second part of the game was a copy of the first part until Helmond Sport scored. After more than half an hour Helmond Sport scored from an opportunity. After a good pass the attacker came face to face with our goalie and was able to shoot freely 0-1. Not much later it became 0-2. PSV got a corner kick and it was cleared by the Helmond defense. In the transition PSV was not alert enough to take out the Helmond attack. Kevin was on the ball for a while but could not prevent the goal 0-2. In the closing stages PSV had another great chance to score. However, it was the wind that blew the ball away.

Early in the third, PSV had another good opportunity to score, but the ball would not go in. After a quarter of an hour PSV could not clear the ball in the back and Helmond Sport had an easy free kick 0-3. After this goal PSV lost their way and there was only one team left to play football and that was Helmond Sport. In the last three minutes of the match Helmond Sport managed to score three more goals 0-6.

PSV showed good football until the 0-3 and we are proud of that. After that, PSV underperformed in the third part. Especially the last 5 minutes were dramatic because we gave everything away. The congratulations are therefore for Helmond Sport with this deserved win.
