Today the match against Roda JC B for the boys of PSV E2. Mathijs, Arthur and Rayan normally play in the F of PSV and today they play with the E. Unfortunately Ruben cannot play today because he is still suffering from his injury of last week.
We start well, too bad Julian hits the bar in the 2nd minute otherwise we would have had an immediate lead. Both teams played well in the first half, but both defenses stood their ground, so there were few chances in front of goal. In the 17th minute, PSV managed to take the lead. From a corner, the ball hit Rhoda's goal, but the goalkeeper managed to stop the ball and worked it away from the goal. Jesper was then very attentive and curled the ball beautifully into the far corner from about 20 meters, 1-0. With this score we reached half time.
Coach Patrick said in the break that he was satisfied with the game, but that he wanted the players to play more from their positions. Making the field smaller and larger is also a point of attention. Furthermore, some changes are made with a few positions.
2nd half,
The players picked up the good field play immediately in the 2nd half, from a very good positional play Rayan very coolly scored in the 21 minute 2-0. 1 Minute later Matteo gives a brilliant pass inside to Jesper who knows how to deal with such chances 3-0. Again 1 minute later after good play and a nice cross Jesper with the head 4-0. And yes again 1 minute later Rayan taps the ball in after a good cross from Julian. So 4 minutes played and 4 goals scored where will this end, and most importantly all with good field play. In the 26 minute Mathijs managed to score 6-0 with a nice chip over the goalkeeper and 2 minutes later the same Mathijs unfortunately hit the bar. Rayan and Arthur also hit at least one more time the crossbar or the post, and the goalkeeper also managed to stop a few more shots. In the 33 minute Rayan gets another opportunity with a tuck in and yes, the 7-0 is on the scoreboard. Jesper tries again with his left from distance, but the goalkeeper does not want to cooperate, and Mathijs hits the underside of the crossbar and the ball bounces off the goal line, so no goal. Rhoda did score one more time from the center line over Lucas who was standing far from his goal according to the coach's instructions. But how much we enjoyed the second half with PSV playing really great football and scoring great goals.

Despite the fact that things are going so well, the coach wants to tell the players that we have to keep playing together. A goal from a nice attack is nicer than a ball that just drops in. However, the coach does not want to work towards a big result. So everyone will play in a position that is strange to him, all in the spirit of training the players. Although for some it is a bit uncomfortable they do reasonably to very well in strange positions. Rhoda does see 2 more chances to score in the third half, also 2 players from the F come to reinforce us because of minor injuries. The final score is deservedly 7-3, but the most important thing is that we all did our best, played very well and had a lot of fun. Now there are a few weeks no matches and not much training either, but the players and leadership of PSV E2 are going to enjoy a well-deserved Christmas break.
