From the play in the first few minutes, it was clear that Hardinxveld had not come to Eindhoven just to defend. PSV, however, had the first big chance. In the fourth minute, Genrich played the ball into Jeremy's feet. Jeremy sprinted from the center line to the goal and scored the 1-0. In the twelfth, Hardinxveld had the opportunity for the equalizer. However, the ball was shot just wide. One minute later, PSV doubled the score. A distance shot by Jeremy hit the target, 2-0. Five minutes later it was Jeremy again who scored. A deep ball from Thomas reached Jeremy. He rounded the goalkeeper and shot in 3-0. Hardinxveld was pushed further and further into the defense. In the 23rd minute a deep ball from Nigel reached Genrich. Genrich rounded the goalkeeper and scored the 4-0. One minute later Mohamed passed well on the left. He played the ball back to Genrich who shot the 5-0. Moments later it was again PSV that scored. A nice attack through several players came into the feet of Jeremy who tapped in the 6-0. In the 27th minute Mohamed slalomed through the defense and shot the 7-0. This was also the score at halftime.

In the second half Hardinxveld had set things up a little differently. PSV did have the field advantage but struggled to get through Hardinxveld's defense. In the 40th minute Hardinxveld had a great chance to score. However, this chance was not taken advantage of. In the 49th minute, it was again PSV who scored. A free kick by Djurre came through the wall to Mohamed. His shot went through a Hardinxveld defender into the goal, 8-0. A few minutes later Genrich went through well on the right side. His cross was shot in by Djurre 9-0. In the 54th minute it was Amin who rounded several players on the left side. From a difficult position he shot the 10-0. Two minutes later a deep ball from Djurre was shot in by Jur 11-0. In the last minute Hardinxveld got a penalty kick after a Hardinxveld player was knocked down inside the sixteen. The penalty kick was taken, 11-1. In injury time it was Joep who pushed forward well. His cross was tapped in by Jur, 12-1.
