Today was the start of the league with an away game at Fortuna Sittard. PSV started the match energetically. After 5 minutes Joey shot at the goal from the left. The goalkeeper blocked the shot, but Lars was in the right place to finish off 0-1. Not long after that Joey took advantage of a defensive error and shot 0-2. After that Fortuna scored four goals. After about fifteen minutes the ball was not shot well by our goalkeeper. The ball was intercepted and easily shot in 1-2. Five minutes later it was 2-2 from a distance shot.

In the second half, PSV hardly got into the game. We could not get out from under the pressure, were restless and were too much in awe of the opponent. After 24 minutes Fortuna managed to break through our defense. The Fortuna attacker was put down by our goalkeeper after a successful passing move. Fortuna deservedly got a penalty kick and it was used 3-2. After half an hour PSV defended poorly. This allowed Fortuna to shoot the 4-2.

In the third half the coach had changed the midfield. With Joey leading the way, PSV would rise from the ashes. Shortly after the whistle, Joey managed to shoot in the 4-3 on a pass from Thijn. A few minutes later Julian gave a cross to Joey who shot the 4-4 with a well-placed ball. Fortuna was stunned by this equalizer. After a foul on Livano the referee gave a good advantage allowing Joey to hit a sharp cross which Thijn finished 4-5. After 58 minutes Joey scored again from a Chahid cross 4-6. In the final minute Fortuna was able to score again from a distance shot 5-6. Shortly before the final whistle Joey scored the final score after a pass from Julian 5-7.

PSV played a difficult game today against a good opponent. We need to calm down in possession and play more from our own tasks. Fantastic the way you showed fight and commitment in the third. A well deserved win today and compliments to everyone.
