  1. Match report

PSV had the (at least on paper) topper against Feyenoord on the schedule this week, who managed to beat Ajax 1-2 in Amsterdam last weekend. It was not a great match in Rotterdam, with both teams sharing the points in the end.

PSV initially seemed to be affected by the messy run-up to the match, which started 20 minutes late as the intended pitch was disallowed at the last minute, forcing them to move to the artificial turf at the back of the pitch, which had yet to be prepared for play. The game was only a few minutes old when a free kick was given away just outside the penalty area, which went over via the crossbar. PSV and Feyenoord kept each other in balance though, both creating a number of chances, the biggest of which came from Arnaut Groeneveld. In injury time of the first half he got hold of the ball on the edge of the penalty area after a foul on a PSV player, and had a completely free pass to the Feyenoord goal. An advantage situation out of the book but the referee decided to blow the whistle anyway, to the annoyance and incomprehension of all that belonged to PSV.

However, PSV did not let this negatively affect them either and continued to look for the opening goal in the 2nd half. As Feyenoord also seemed not to want to settle for a draw, an open game with chances for both teams unfolded. The closest PSV got to a goal was Jaëll Huttu, who took a falling ball from the edge of the penalty area in the 57th minute. The best opportunities were for Feyenoord, but they were sloppy in the face of keeper Mike van de Meulenhof, who saved PSV from defeat 10 minutes before the end when he saved a Feyenoord striker's effort from a scrimmage.

Next week the B2 will face Ajax at 3 p.m. on the Herdgang.
