Today the championship match was scheduled for PSV. The players were pretty hyper on the trip to Best, but had a lot of confidence in a good outcome. The assignment was to hold concentration until the last minute and play like we have been doing the last few weeks. This is the game we have been living towards.

PSV started the match strongly by trapping the opponent in their own half. After 5 minutes Joep was able to break through on the left and put the ball ready for Mats who was able to tap in.
0-1. Not much later a well executed counter made it 1-1. After 12 minutes Martijn crossed from the right but the ball just went into the goal 1-2. Shortly after that Tim went on an adventure on his own and he scored with a long distance shot 1-3. A few minutes later a solo by Dylan with a hard shot that left the goalie defenseless 1-4. Then it was 2-4 from an unjustly given penalty kick. On the stroke of half time it became
2-5 from a goal by Mats who scored on an assist from Dylan. In the final minute of the first half Dylan made a splitting pass with the outside of his right to Martijn who then played in Joep. Eye to eye with the goalkeeper, Joep was able to take advantage of this opportunity with a placed shot 2-6.

Also after half time PSV was the better team and the game was played on the opponents half. On a pass from Gioele, Joep scored again 2-7. Then it was the turn of Mats again who shot a blocked shot from distance into the goal 2-8. From a corner kick by Gioele Dylan put the ball in the goal 2-9. Shortly before time, Tim managed to score from a solo shot from distance 2-10. In the last minute Joep scored the final score on a pass from Gioele 2-11.

PSV deserved to win again today. You have executed the assignments of the trainers well and with today's result you rightly became champion. Well done, congratulations on the title and compliments to everyone.
