PSV got off to a strong start and immediately put JEKA under pressure. In the fourth minute, PSV had an opportunity to open the score. This chance was missed. PSV kept JEKA under pressure to quickly score the opening goal. The fierce start yielded only three corner kicks that caused no danger. The opening goal did come in the 8th minute. A long ball from Dennis was extended by Thijs to Quinn. Quinn did not miss this opportunity and shot the 1-0. A few minutes later the score was doubled. Thijs passed the ball, after a nice action, to Damian. From 20 meters Damian pegged the ball high into the goal, 2-0. PSV kept up the pressure on JEKA. Because of this, JEKA did not get the opportunity to create any danger. In the 26th minute, PSV scored again, this time from a corner. This corner was placed past the second post by Dani. Shurandy headed the ball into the goal mouth and Beslan shot hard from close range, 3-0. This was also the score at halftime.

JEKA started the second half brighter, trying to keep PSV further from the goal. In the beginning of the second half this had an effect but soon PSV had an answer to this and managed to find the free man. They combined well up to the penalty area but PSV was sloppy in finishing. As a result, several opportunities were not taken. The fourth goal came in the 53rd minute. A nice attack on the left ended up at the feet of Mohamed. He shot the ball in low to make it 4-0. In the remaining time there were still some opportunities but no more goals were scored. The final score remained 4-0.
