  1. Match report

This Sunday morning the 3rd game this week is scheduled. The opponent is Volendam and we have good memories of this. Two years ago, under 9, this was the opponent in the final of the Volendam tournament. This was not a bad opponent at the time, although they lost. In the final, PSV won 3-1. But that was then and now today applies. From the kickoff, like yesterday, PSV starts strong. From the first whistle, PSV sets the tone and combines well. The first opportunities come quickly, but a few nice attacks cannot be completed effectively yet. From a corner kick Sem just headed over. Through the backline the midfielders Joop, Arne, Koen and Sem were played in well and were able to play their hearts out. They found the free man by combining quickly. Joey also created a lot of threat from the right side, and unlike Manolev, his crosses did reach the goal. After one of his rushes, he found Arne who shot the 1-0. Moments later it was Sem who, by winning the duel, gained possession of the ball and shot the 2-0. After about 20 minutes Joey is sent off once again and his shot falls unstoppable behind the goalkeeper, making it 3-0. Even before halftime, PSV takes a 4-0 lead when Yassin taps in attentively. Thus Volendam is tapped from the mat and the goalkeepers Edson and Kyan hardly have to come into action for the 2nd consecutive day. After the 4th goal there was some sand in the engine and the combinations did not run as smoothly anymore because the ball was held a bit longer and the job seemed to be done already. Also in the 2nd half, PSV continues to dominate the game and Volendam sinks further and further back in front of their own goal. This makes it more difficult anyway. Unlike yesterday, there are still several chances. Halfway through the second half, Tijn made it 5-0 with a nice long distance shot. After Joey the second right back to score this match. Greg must have thought that scoring is actually for the strikers and signed for the 6-0 final score 5 minutes before time. In the second half there were still some chances which could have made the score a little higher. But with a 6-0 win it was still a nice Sunday morning.
