Today we had to make the trip to Roda JC again. I guess at the end of the season we will know the way?
We start the game very well, within 30 Niek gets the ball against the crossbar. We are bright and play well together, the result of this good play is deservedly rewarded after 5 minutes, Julian starts a solo in midfield, passes some opponents and then shoots the ball in via the underside of the crossbar 0-1.
After 8 minutes the Roda goalkeeper had to drop out injured, but the field player who was going to goalkeeper now was also of very good quality, at least he stood in our way a few times.
We played well in the first half but forgot to increase the score. The halftime score was 0-1 in favor of PSV.

In the 2nd half Roda had got the spare goalkeeper from the E1, and so they could start again complete. PSV's play became less in the second half and Roda often used the long ball, which our boys had a lot of trouble with. Roda managed to score 3 goals in the second half and PSV kept on missing chances, just like in the first half, and the Roda goalkeeper also did a great job.
So 2nd half 3-1.

Last week in Helmond we also managed to come back in the last part of the game, according to the coach we had to do the same today. We had full pressure on the Roda goal, but the Limburgers did not budge. Until in the 55th minute Julian kicked the ball into the net in one go. Now 5 minutes to go, from that moment anything is possible, can Roda score through a breakaway or is it PSV who scores after all. Fortunately for us the latter in the 58 minute Niek scores, because of the tension I don't even remember how it happened, unfortunately I don't have to tell you, or come and watch of course. After the referee had blown the whistle the conclusion was simple, happy with the point but if we used the chances we could have done more.

Now the boys are going to enjoy a well deserved vacation, minor aches and pains can disappear and they are ready to start again for the next series of matches. On October 26 we play at home against Roda JC (A) for those who have nothing to do on a Saturday morning spectacle guaranteed.
