After four away games in a row, the first home game of the series was scheduled today against VVV. The club from Venlo was able to score as many as nine consecutive goals. In four of their hits, PSV cooperated due to communication errors, weak duels and back play errors. Five times VVV scored from well set-up attacks and out-of-bounds finishes. To make matters worse, Lucas had to leave the field after just under 15 minutes due to an injury. His place was temporarily taken over by VVV's reserve goalkeeper. From the 2nd period on Kevin was on goal.
In the second period, PSV was outplayed. Only at the end of the second period PSV got a bit more grip on the game. From this, PSV managed to create the tying goal.
After a PSV breakthrough Thijn gave a good assist to Sven who was able to finish in front of the goalie 1-9.
At the beginning of the third period Sven gave an assist to Thijn who found the net with a placed ball 2-9. Ten minutes later Thijn scored again with a devastating distance shot 3-9. In the same minute Sven set the final score on a good pass from Chahid 4-9.
Today you managed to shift the game well as the coach had indicated beforehand. Unfortunately we gave the game away today because we could not win the duels and we are not yet ready to play well under pressure. You still have to learn that. The opponent today was a year and a size too big. VVV deservedly won.
