Saturday the match against the leader was scheduled.
There were two teams on the field who were eager to make it a fun game.
The first half was full of fight and commitment with tough duels and the referee allowed the game to continue. However, this did not result in many chances for either team. Until the 18th minute, when captain Sekou intercepted a wide pass from the NEC defense and was free to run towards the goal, to put the ball in the net in a controlled manner. 0-1
No more goals were scored in the first half, but that did not detract from the entertainment value of the match.

Immediately after halftime, NEC equalized. PSV seemed to start the second half a minute later than NEC, because before we knew it, NEC had scored the equalizer. 1-1
After this counter goal, PSV recovered excellently, and the strong defense did not give away any more chances, and the team was in control of the game.
In the 16th minute, PSV was allowed to take a free kick from right midfield. Davy placed this ball with minute precision at the first post, where Sekou was ready to put the ball behind the goalkeeper. 1-2
PSV was the better team throughout the second half. This was reflected in a beautiful attack, starting with a beautiful wide pass all the way from Benji to Sekou, who in turn sent two men into the woods and delivered the ball to Vince, who coolly finished. 1-3
NEC went on the attack but had nothing more to offer against the strong PSV collective.
This excellent team performance put PSV back at the top of the league table. Class men.
