Today was the first league match against "De Valk E 1 " ( old acquaintance of Joey). The game had started and immediately it was clear that the opponent was not going to let the cheese eat the bread. But still it was PSV who held the reins with for the neutral spectator a flashy combination game. The first chance of the match was from Tijn, who immediately put the de Valk goalkeeper to the test with a nice action from behind and a placed shot. Yet de Valk counter-attacked in the 4th minute but our reliable goalie Kyan managed to parry the action. Early in the 5th minute our boys had a bit of a scare with the fact that Yassine had to leave the field injured. Fortunately he was able to make himself available again after a few minutes. He was in good hands of our caregiver, big kudos to this person. Furthermore the falcon played wonderfully and could hold out until the 8th minute , Bryan conquered the ball and played with one time Arne this set up a beautiful one two with Joop and could the 1-0 ( ARNE) be noted. Further in this first half three times the crossbar and post were found by our boys, or the goalkeeper of de Valk was attentive in defending his goal. During this first half we got to greet our other players who took a 0- 4 victory to the Herdgang, and thank them for the encouragement along the sidelines. "Super" that shows again how well they are involved with their teammates. At halftime the boys were addressed by Coach Bastiaan and the boys got on the mat for a great 2nd half. The first minutes were for PSV, but each time the goalkeeper stood his ground. Then de Valk ran out of steam thanks to again our fantastic alert JOOP who put the 2 - 0 on the scoreboard. Furthermore, the opponent only had one chance, but a serious one which was beautifully turned away by SEM (yes, for those who did not see it, it was a beautiful slide). PSV took the initiative again with a pearl of a shot by JOOP against the crossbar ( Lat) whereupon the ball came into the feet of KOEN who without hesitation put his powerful foot against it, increasing the score to 3 -0. This gave KOEN a taste for it and he went on a solo tour, with beautiful left and right passing moves he signed for the 4-0 himself. This left everyone impressed and the teamwork was forgotten for a while, allowing the opponent to make some breakaways, but yes for this they first have to get past our well-defended TIJN and our bouncing post KYAN. AND I CAN TELL YOU this is not easy. Furthermore ARNE set up another great attack which put him in a shot position but unfortunately it was again turned away by the goalkeeper, but as always by playing good football and putting JOOP under pressure SEM, who is always in the right place, made it 5-0. But TIJN was not impressed and thought "here I will make another one" and yes TIJN got the ball in his feet and with a beautiful shot he outsmarted the goalkeeper as the ball bounced over the goalkeeper and into the goal 6-0. And with two minutes left on the clock the boys got a corner which was taken by Bryan and with a beautiful header by SEM into the net. Final score 7-0.
