  1. Match report

For once in a long time wonderful football weather, nice crowd and an appealing opponent to show that we are rightly on top.
But that the weather is decisive was a misconception, the level of the match was moderate. In the first half it was a weak game of football and, as in recent weeks, it turned out that standard situations would be decisive today. There were no real chances for either team in the beginning. In the 26th minute, a foul 19 meters from our goal was punished with a free kick. Feijenoord's number 8 popped the ball like a line into the top corner. 1 - 0. We came out of our shell a bit more and five minutes later it was a header by Maikel from a corner kick by Okan and the 1 - 1 was on the board.
This was also the halftime score.
In the beginning of the second half it was the same picture. Feijenoord had most of the chances, but the chances came more from our own actions. In the 51st minute a ball was not handled well and the 2 - 1 was a fact. In this period it was Feijenoord that missed some good chances.
So the score remained 2 - 1. In the 69th minute we got a corner and again it was Okan who took it. Now it was Milos who stood alert in the penalty area and tapped the ball into the net. 2 - 2. After the equalizer there were still opportunities for PSV, but like Feijenoord in the period before, we didn't know how to deal with them properly. Although the match was not great, it remained an exciting game that could have been won both by Feijenoord and PSV. The chances in the final minutes were not taken and the score remained 2 - 2 until the referee blew the final whistle.
Just before time there was a nasty incident in which the Feijenoord number 8, during a one-sided action, came down wrong and had to leave the field injured.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
The story of today's game was basically: We started on time but during the game we were sometimes just too late.
