Today a home game, the first after the winter break, in the new year for the F2. A practice match against Margriet E3.

We started with 8 players against Margriet E3, the others were off to Breda for an indoor tournament. After changing clothes, setting up goals and a warm up we were ready to start at 09.30 for 3x 20 minute periods.
In the first part of the game it went evenly between both teams, which also gave both teams some small chances. After about 5 minutes we scored 1-0 through Reda after a good attack, action Rayan/pass Mathijs.
Halfway through the 1st half we scored 2-0 through Mathijs.
In the following part of the match we were fairly evenly matched, but we also had to get used to the physical resistance.
In the 1st half we drank some water, talked about the actions but also about some choices which meant that Margriet had the ball a lot.
In the 2nd block we started reasonably, with a lot of actions on the ball. This worked reasonably well, but sometimes we lost the ball. Because of this Margriet (also) got the ball and had many chances for 2-1 but Harm stood in the way a lot with saves.
Like just before the 2-1 when he saved the ball three times, but unfortunately it still went in. Halfway we scored two nice goals in quick succession (after a nice cross ball 3-1 and a curve ball 4-1), Margriet made it 4-2 quickly from a (direction changed) free kick. In the phase after that we had to defend a lot and actions did not work as well.

Then in the third block Margriet made it 4-3 and had some chances for another goal. Soon after we managed to make it 5-3 and after that the football went better again and we scored twice, 7-3 result. A good start after the vacations!

Next week we will go to Amsterdam on Wednesday, to practice against Ajax.
