With a 4-1 victory, PSV C2 secured second place in the fall competition Pool South. In the second half, PSV went from a 2-1 lead to 4-1. That victory was never in danger, although PSV had some difficulty in breaking down the 'wall' that VVV/Helmond Sport had erected. VVV/Helmond Sport could only keep up with PSV's high ball pace in the first quarter of an hour, after which they retreated to their own half to occasionally get out with long balls to the strikers. In goal today was Aaron van Engelen, who is fully fit again after a long period of rehabilitation.
Autumn champions will be Feyenoord who did not lose this league and drew only once. After the winter break, PSV enters a strong pool with Ajax, AZ, Volendam, ADO Den Haag, Utrecht and (probably) Almere City. From the current pool, PSV will then meet Feyenoord, Sparta, Vitesse, NEC and NAC or Willem II again. The draw for this new pool will take place once the last match has been played.
