Effective PSV O13-1 books win over Sparta
In a rainy Rotterdam, PSV O13-1 recorded another victory. After seventy minutes, a 0-5 final score was on the board. Despite the big win, PSV cannot be completely satisfied with the play shown.
In the first half, the first opportunity was for Sparta. Keeper Kane Aerts was alert, however, and prevented an early opening goal. At the other end, the first Eindhoven opportunity was a hit. Sébas Ditmer poked Samuel Dumbili, who calmly pushed the ball in with the goalkeeper. Shortly after this opportunity Sparta had the chance to equalize. From a corner a Spartan was allowed to shoot freely, but with a cat-like reflex Kane Aerts prevented a goal. After this phase it went hard for PSV, with three goals in five minutes. Liam Slaats cleverly got in front of his opponent at a corner, the same Liam Slaats was attentive to a cross from Samuel Dumbili and Amir Bouhamdi did not fail to score when he got free in front of the goalkeeper. Both teams went into the break with a score of 0-4.
The second half painted the same picture as the first. PSV had the ball a lot, but played too sloppy to create big chances. Sébas Ditmer was dangerous with a hard effort, but it lacked the direction to trouble the goalkeeper. At the other end, Kane Aerts had to make several saves to prevent a number of goals against. Just before the end of the game the Eindhoven team scored 0-5 when Yani Miguel converted a nice pass from Amir Bouhamdi.
Despite the 0-5 victory, PSV O13-1 cannot really be satisfied with the game. The team was very effective up front, but gave Sparta too many opportunities to become dangerous. Next Friday the Eindhoven squad can try to improve, as the derby against Willem II is scheduled for Tilburg.
