Today the match against Best Vooruit was scheduled. Although this was the red lantern bearer, this opponent was not to be underestimated. It soon became clear that trainer Willem had the same thought, as he made sure our boys started very eagerly. After a nice combination on the left between Jochem and Achraf it was Mees who tapped in the 1-0 within a minute. For the opposition this quick goal was the sign to roll up their sleeves. As a result, the game went from strength to strength. In the 3rd minute Joël even prevented the equalizer with a cat-like save. PSV was fortunately back on track, in the 9th minute Best Vooruit's goalkeeper was unable to hold off a shot by Jochem, after which Achraf was the first to make it 2-0. That it was not easy in the first half was clear from the fact that the many spectators had to wait for more goals until just before halftime. 3 minutes before half time it was Damian who finished off a great assist from Niels and then it was Niels himself who after a nice solo shot the ball neatly into the short to put the 4-0 halftime score on the scoreboard.
After tea they immediately went on the attack again and soon it was 5-0. Jochem rounded off a good cross from Mees very subtly. In the 4th minute of the 2nd half Jochem gave a nice pass over a long distance to Mees who coolly made it 6-o. Moments later, Achraf made Mees free in front of the goal with a great cross and again he scored 7-0. For a moment the concentration slackened and the opponent saw a chance to go forward again. Despite good defensive work, especially by Shurandy and Niels, 2 goals were still conceded. Fortunately it was PSV's turn again. Damian scored from long range and saw the ball fall perfectly into the crossbar, 8-2. Lekkerrrrr.
After this it was Dani's time, first with a great move he set Mees free in front of goal, who as so often knows what to do with it, 9-2. With a nice solo past 4 men and a lob over the goalkeeper Dani made it 10-2. That Best Vooruit scored a third goal was more for the statistics. The last goal of the day was again for Dani, after another solo, he put the ball into the corner and made it 11-3.
