At the Herdgang today we played a league game against MVV for the second time. In the previous encounter we took a point from Maastricht. Mylian and Gioele could not play today due to injuries but luckily Genrich from the D2 joined us.
We started the game very brightly. The first five minutes we did not let MVV play football and they hardly crossed the center line. They were warned. In possession of the ball we couldn't make the difference and MVV couldn't score either. 0-0 at halftime.
After the break the game became more open. Joep came in and brought a lot of power to our forwards. Unfortunately we did not manage to find the net yet. In the 30th minute MVV did with a high ball over Kevin. 0-1. We had to watch out because MVV became more dangerous.
In the third half we did everything we could to equalize the score. After 11 minutes we succeeded. Joep gave a nice ball deep to Martijn. He pushed forward and shot the ball into the cross. 1-1. We had the upper hand again and we really wanted to win this match. The whole team worked hard and this was rewarded in the very last minute. From a short corner by Martijn and Joey, D'leanu managed to tap the ball in. 2-1!!
We started the game great today, but we couldn't keep this up. After that we showed our class again and by working super hard we even won the game. Next week we play at noon against Helmond Sport.
