A rather battered PSV had to take on bottom-feeder RBC Roosendaal today.
PSV had to win to keep their eyes on the title and RBC had to take points to avoid relegation.
As so often in this league, PSV got off to a flying start and after 3 minutes of play, a nice shot by Niels Wouters gave them a 1-0 lead.
After this, PSV clearly remained the better team and controlled the game, RBC worked hard but could not make a fist.
PSV was very unlucky in the first half as they hit the post and crossbar three times to keep the score at 1 -0.
In the second half it was another quick score, after good preparatory work by Kenneth Paal it was Juan van Schijndel who scored the 2 - 0.
The game was over and the tension was somewhat relieved.
PSV kept the pressure on their opponents and this resulted in two goals, the first by Stijn Lamers and the second by Juan van Schijndel.
After this PSV got some small chances but they were not exploited so the final score remained 4 - 0.
All in all a good victory and on to an exciting final game of the competition.
