PSV immediately went on the attack in pursuit of the lead. The first opportunity came after 5 minutes. Beslan was able to finish calmly after a good assist from Yorbe. Two minutes later Club Brugge equalized. After that Yorbe scored 5 beautiful goals in 5 minutes. Shortly before the 1st half-time break Dennis took advantage of a defensive error and put the Bruggenaren at a 7-1 deficit that could not be caught up with.

In the 2nd period the Bruges coach had put his team in a different position and they started to play better football. Still Yorbe, Beslan and Dennis managed to find the net 3 times again.

In the 3rd period again many goals and attractive football from both sides. Brugge just kept playing football and besides the two goals, they had several chances to shoot in more. However Victor stood in the way with some wonderful saves.

A deserved victory and a very good team performance. Everyone's qualities were put to good use. Both defensively and offensively everything was right today. Compliments to all players.
