Today VVV came to visit and they had something to make up for after their home game against us. VVV started the match strongly and put PSV under pressure from the first minute. After five minutes PSV unnecessarily lost the ball in midfield. VVV played the ball into the free striker, who was free to shoot 0-1. PSV could not withstand the pressure in the first period and were invisible.
VVV shot twice at the post and failed to take more distance from PSV.

The second period also went like the first. PSV could not get under the pressure of VVV and hardly got to play football. VVV again shot at the post, at the crossbar and the ball was cleared off the goal line twice by PSV. After half an hour the score was 0-2 from a beautiful attack. Five minutes later PSV did something back. On a pass from Floris, Jaivy turned away from his direct opponent and shot with his left foot right into the intersection, 1-2. Nice goal. The joy did not last long because a minute later it was 1-3 from a nicely played opportunity.

In the third our coach took some risk by playing 1 against 1 at the back. After this conversion, PSV showed that they can play good football. Still it became 1-4 because we didn't defend short enough. But the build-up went much better. After three quarters of an hour Jaivy played a splitting pass to Jesper who finished off this counter excellently 2-4. After that there were small chances for both teams.

VVV's victory was fully justified. Nevertheless, we are not dissatisfied with the game played and your commitment. PSV played well in the third period and maybe we will play 1-on-1 a little earlier in the game.
