  1. Match report

In the beginning of the match, both teams were evenly matched. PSV had some opportunities but they were not played well. The first real opportunity was for RBC in the twelfth minute. An RBC cross was deflected by the PSV defense. In the rebound an RBC player shot the ball just over the crossbar. PSV then went ahead well. The first real chance for PSV was in the 17th minute after good passing by Joep on the left side of the pitch. The chance was completed effectively but the goal was disallowed for offside. PSV gained more control of the match but still it was RBC that opened the scoring. After a minor foul in the penalty area, the ball went to the penalty spot. The penalty kick was saved by Peter, 1-0. In the remaining part of the first half, PSV pressed on. However, no more chances were created so the score at halftime was 1-0.

PSV started the second half strongly and immediately scored the equalizer. After a nice slalom by Mohamed, he played the ball to Jur. Jur shot the ball through the underside of the crossbar to make it 1-1. PSV went in search of the lead and succeeded in the 40th minute. After a nice attack by PSV, Joep played the ball simply but very effectively, backwards to the incoming Mohamed. Mohamed ran through the RBC defense and cleverly shot in 1-2. PSV was now in control of the game and tried to extend the score. In the 47th minute Jeremy shot against the post but a few minutes later he was effective. A nice cross from Niek over the RBC goalie was headed in by Jeremy 1-3. RBC was defeated and tried to limit the damage. Nevertheless, PSV scored two more goals. In the 57th minute, Niek captured the ball. Jeremy played the ball in depth to Heritier. Heritier went alone to the goalkeeper but instead of going for his own success, he played the ball wide to the running Jur and Jur simply tapped the ball in 1-4. This goal was a beautiful example of teamwork. RBC tried to do something back but a shot by an RBC attacker was turned away by Robin. In injury time Jeremy pushed forward well. In second he shot the ball past the RBC goalie and put the final score, 1-5, on the scoreboard.
