Both teams started the match well. After both teams shot at the crossbar, a good PSV attack was turned away. On the turnaround Helmond managed to break through from the right and the attacker was free to shoot in front of the goal 0-1. Shortly afterwards an identical attack but this time from the left 0-2. Jaivy scored the tying goal for PSV 1-2 from a solo effort. Shortly afterwards Jaivy shot at goal again but the goalkeeper managed to block the shot, in the rebound Rik could shoot in front of an empty goal 2-2. After fifteen minutes PSV lost the ball unnecessarily in the back. From this action the striker of Helmond managed to subtly place the ball over our goalkeeper into the goal 2-3. Shortly before the end of the 1st half it became 2-4 for Helmond from an away opportunity.

Soon in the 2nd half, PSV managed to score again. On a pass from Michon, Ilias managed to shoot in with a slide to make it 3-4. Shortly after, Lucas managed to keep PSV in the race with a miraculous save. Via a hand of Lucas and the crossbar PSV got away well. Halfway through the 2nd half the ball still went in with a distance shot 3-5.

The 3rd half was also spectacular, but only one goal was scored. On a pass from the goalkeeper Jaivy went alone towards the Helmond goal and put the ball in the left corner 4-5. In the last minute PSV had a big chance but unfortunately the ball went just wide.

Both teams showed great football. The visitors were sharper in finishing. Despite the defeat we want to compliment you for the play and beautiful combinations. Well played PSV.
