Excelsior plays its home games at 3 p.m.. That's why everyone was able to sleep in. That's nice on Saturdays, too. The departure was scheduled for 12:45 pm.
Because four players had moved on to the C1, we only had two substitutes, including a goalkeeper. Then everyone can play nicely, but not too much can happen.
In the first minutes of the match Excelsior had two chances, but already in the fourth minute PSV managed to take a 0-1 lead. Gregory won a duel in the opponent's half and passed the ball to Sekou, who was free to go towards the goalkeeper. Again he does not fail and slides the ball past the goalkeeper into the net.
PSV is totally in control of the game, but it takes until the 30th minute before this is reflected by a goal. A good combination on the right between Vince and Sekou allows the latter to pass the ball from the back line at the far post. Arne ran along well and has no trouble tapping in the 0-2. Not long after, Sekou managed to conquer the ball again, put himself free in front of the goalkeeper, and as is often the case, he again left the goalkeeper defenseless.
0-3 is the score at halftime.
After halftime, PSV immediately went hunting for more goals. Already in the second minute it becomes 0-4. This time a Sunday shot from the ball from Sekou. But this one also counts, fulfilling his promise of three goals. The 0-5 falls in the 10th minute of the second half. Benji passes the ball into the path of Gregory, who takes one touch and scores his goal.
0-6 on 23 minutes through a ball from Sekou to Arne on the left. Arne passes the ball to Sem, who, once again, is in exactly the right place to complete the attack successfully. Almost in the same way the 0-7 comes about. Again Arne passes the ball to Sem, only this time Gregory is ready to work the ball into the ropes.
The final score 0-8 is determined when Vince controls a free kick high in front of the pot and works it in with a volley.
Another resounding victory for the C2 men, with compliments to the defense who had the Excelsior attackers fully under control.
After the match the whole team went back to the Herdgang where a meal was ready. The boys who came with the C1 joined them, and after the meal they went to the stadium to watch the PSV-Vitesse match. From a skybox the boys had an excellent view of the match while enjoying a snack and a drink, and despite the result they had a very well deserved evening of fun.
