    PSV A1 LOSES IN BIRMINGHAM
    At Villa Park, filled with over 1,500 spectators, PSV A1 played its fifth game in the Next Gen Series. PSV played better football than the home team, but had to give in on points of fight, commitment and toughness against Aston Villa's youth team.
    Another shortcoming is that PSV was insufficiently ruthless in front of goal and therefore did not take advantage of the chances offered. Particularly before halftime that broke the team down.
    Halfway through the first half Villa opened the score with a goal by Burke.
    Also after halftime PSV could not make a fist and had no defense against the opportunism of the home team. PSV goalie Jesse Bertrams kept the team in the match for a long time with an excellent performance.
    That Drennan put Aston Villa up 2-0 six minutes before time was only confirmation of the home team's fighting spirit.

    PSV: Bertrams, Brenet, Koch, Hendrix, Heesakkers (De Wijs), Horsten, Overbeek, Mahmoed (Leemans), Alberto Antonio (Sanoh), Vloet(Jakobsen) and Bakkali;
    Aston Villa: Hill, Barton, Bateman, Lyden, Devine, Watkins-Clark, Graham, Carruthers, Drennan, Burke and Grealish.
