The first league game of the season was away at Kloetinge.

The first chances this morning were for PSV. The goal was not yet on target so these opportunities were lost. PSV put Kloetinge on the defensive from the start of the match. PSV created some chances but PSV was sloppy in finishing. The opening goal fell in the 16th minute. A cross from Djurre came into the feet of Jur. He shot the ball past the Kloetinge goalie 0-1. A few minutes later it was another cross from Djurre. This time Jeremy got free in front of the goalkeeper and he signed the 0-2. PSV kept the field advantage and this led to another goal in the 25th minute. A corner by Mohamed came into the feet of Djurre who was completely free on the edge of the sixteen-meter area. Djurre curled the ball high into the goal, 0-3. In the last minutes of the first half, Kloetinge came out dangerously a few times. However, Kloetinge did not capitalize on these chances and the score at halftime was 0-3.

PSV started the second half strongly. In the first minute of the second half, Heritier crossed well on the left side of the pitch. His cross was poorly cleared by the Kloetinge defense. The ball landed at the feet of Djurre who shot the 0-4. It took some time before PSV could become dangerous again. This was mainly because PSV often made the wrong choices. Kloetinge held their own in this period of the match. In the 47th minute, PSV was close to a goal. A corner by Mohamed was headed against the crossbar by Jeremy.
