PSV started the match reasonably well. After 3 minutes PSV got a corner kick from which Joey could shoot the 1-0. After that nothing special happened for a long time. Both teams had a few chances, but no opportunities. Only after half an hour PSV lost the ball due to an insertion error. Helmond Sport punished this mistake 1-1. PSV immediately did something back through two clear shots by Jesse 3-1.

Helmond Sport played well throughout the match but had to allow PSV to extend their lead in the third half. After 50 minutes Jesse was able to tap in the 4-1 on an assist from Mylian. A minute later it was 5-1 when Martijn scored from close range. Not much later Jesse was able to score from close range because the Helmond defense could not clear the ball 6-1. PSV then determined the final score by scoring from two clear-cut opportunities by Joris and Jesse 8-1.

PSV was restless on the ball throughout the match, making wrong choices. This made it unnecessarily difficult for us. A deserved victory for PSV though. Congratulations to all players.
