From the first whistle it was clear with what intention OJC Rosmalen had come to Eindhoven. They let themselves down and left the game to PSV. PSV got the first opportunities. In the ninth minute a PSV free kick grazed the head of an OJC Rosmalen defender and the ball went narrowly wide. One minute later, PSV did score. OJC's build-up was disrupted. Dani Mathieu got into scoring position and he shot the ball high into the goal (1-0). Despite this deficit, OJC left the initiative to PSV. OJC's first serious attack in the 17th minute immediately resulted in the equalizer. A nicely set up attack through some OJC players was completed flawlessly (1-1). Two minutes later, OJC took the lead. An unnecessary slide by a PSV defender brought down an OJC player in the penalty area. The ensuing penalty kick was taken (1-2). For the remainder of the first half, PSV was the dominant side without really becoming dangerous.
PSV started the second half more aggressively. In the 33rd minute a corner was headed in by Yorbe Vertessen, equalizing the score (2-2). PSV then rushed to score the third goal, which led to wrong passes and wrong choices. In the 50th minute, PSV thought it would take the lead after all. From a corner the ball was headed into the goal but the goal was disallowed due to hands. The lead came three minutes later. Quinn Chirino shot the ball into the far corner with a perfect shot (3-2). This was also the final score.
All in all a deserved victory in a tough match against a well organized OJC Rosmalen.
