A match in which the importance was very high. Maintaining a chance to finish in first place at the end of the season, but certainly a duel between the 2 best C2 teams in the Netherlands.
Ajax started the game very sharp, which gave them some more ball possession without being able to create any big chances. The only real danger came from a corner that was headed just wide. After this phase, PSV got better and better into the match. This resulted in two big chances, but both Cody and Amar failed to convert them.
After halftime the same picture of the game with both teams dominating in phases. Defensively (which has been the case for weeks) we are solid and in attack we have so much quality that PSV always manage to create chances. It was Baggio, who after a fantastic cross from Amar, took the ball straight out of the air and scored the decisive goal. An excellent victory for which our players deserve the compliments!
