Win with all having their own mission
Now that the F1 is playing in E competition, other things in football become more important. One of them is being able to carry out assignments from the trainer.
Mo I, Djurre, Mathijs, Joost, Jur, Bram, Luuk and Peter were the F1 today. Before the match trainer Willem gave them all a piece of paper with a personal and concrete assignment for the match. For some it was: 'Look carefully at your fellow players when you have the ball', for another 'choose well between making an action yourself or passing', for yet another 'stand behind your opponent when their goalkeeper takes the ball out'.
Was it because of these assignments? The fact is that the team played sharp from the start against Reusel Sport: captured the ball quickly, built up well and scored some nice goals. Of course, the opponent also determines how much space you get to take the initiative, combine and correct any mistakes. Against Reusel Sport the boys were given a lot of space and were able to win almost all direct duels.
The strong wind seemed to be a troublesome factor for a while. In the first half the psv U21 players had the wind against them. They knew how to deal with that. In the second half they took advantage of the windward advantage: they pushed their opponents almost all the way into their own half.
After a 6-0 halftime score, the final score was 11-0. The result could have been even higher, because the F1 had also scored well with their crossbar kick.
Mo made his striker role come true with 7 goals, also Jur (2x), Luuk and a player from Reusel scored for PSV.
