PSV C2 achieved a well-deserved, but narrow 1-0 victory in the home match against a battered Willem II C2. Willem II C2 was missing a number of basic players and started with five players from the D1. PSV C2 was in possession of the ball most of the time, but Willem II C2 defended excellently led by the strong captain Remco and gave away few chances. PSV C2 was dangerous on a few occasions, but no clear-cut chances were created. The second half showed the same picture, with PSV C2's attacks always stranded on the tight defense of Willem II C2. In the fiftieth minute, PSV C2 came close to scoring a goal, but the fine playing (and injured...) goalkeeper of Willem II C2 managed to tap a header from Rai Vloet under the bar. The minutes passed and PSV C2 seemed to have to settle for a draw. In the sixty-fifth minute, suddenly there is Jorrit Hendrix who, in his characteristic way with the ball on a string, advances from his own half, leaving a few opponents in despair. From eighteen meters, Jorrit lashed out devastatingly and the ball ended up with dizzying speed via the inside of the post in the goal of the bewildered guests from Tilburg (1-0). In the remaining minutes the victory of PSV C2 is not in danger anymore and the third victory in the spring competition is a fact.
