On a rainy Saturday morning, the match against VVV-Venlo was on the program as well as the birthday of Henriette, Joey's mother. Congratulations again. Then about the match. All the ingredients for a top match were there: a beautiful pitch (next to the stadium), two good teams and a great referee. It certainly was a top match. PSV E2 took a 0-1 lead through a goal by Dylan. He headed in after a cross from Deveron. After the 0-1, VVV quickly equalized: 1-1. After halftime our striker Joris was there, tapping in the 1-2. After that the game tilted a bit, especially when VVV made the 2-2 and then quite quickly the 3-2. The technical staff of PSV made a tactical change, Deveron was placed in midfield and that worked out well. He made a nice rush from the defense and crossed to Joris, who made it 3-3. Then VVV got a little tired. PSV took a 3-4 lead through a phenomenal goal by Joris. He shot the ball, with a beautiful arc, into the left corner. The match seemed a done deal, with PSV emerging victorious. Especially when it also became 3-5, as Joris headed in after a cross from Deveron. Still it became exciting, because VVV came back to 4-5. Fortunately it stayed that way and PSV won the match. The boys can be proud of their play. Now on to the next victory!
