Saturday 02-11-2013. The trip goes to Den Bosch, where a match against the local FC is scheduled. The match will be played in stadium De Vliert, where the coach in his younger years has beaten many opponents for several seasons.
We are curious to see how the boys are doing today, after a busy week in which we played Alamania Achen on Tuesday evening, and last Wednesday a large number of players participated in selection matches of the KNVB.
The first half is very sloppy on our part. We struggle to keep the ball in the team, and don't get to play football. FC Den Bosch is fierce but also unable to really put our goalkeeper to work. Still, it is PSV that takes the lead. In the 30th minute Vince is allowed to take a free kick from the right side. He puts the ball down at the second post where Sekou is ready to head it in.
1-0, and this is also the score at halftime.
The second half begins, but soon we see that the instructions during the break did not bring any turnaround.
In the 8th minute FC Den Bosch is allowed to take a corner which results in the not entirely undeserved equalizer, 1-1.
However, they cannot enjoy it for long, because PSV manages to take the lead again just one minute later. An unconvincing goal attempt by Sekou is not handled well by the goalkeeper, 2-1.
Also in the second half there is no question of good football. FC Den Bosch is the better team and in the 31st minute they manage to translate that into the 2-2.
Not a match with sparkling football, but one from which a lot can be learned. On to next week, good training and then Saturday pick up the good run of previous games.
