PSV looked for the attack from the beginning of the match. This produced the opening goal as early as the fifth minute. Jeremy played a tight ball into the feet of Jayden. With a nice approach he played himself free immediately and signed the 1-0 with a shot into the corner. PSV continued to attack and the wait was on for the second goal. After 10 minutes, however, De Graafschap got into the game better and with a few breakdowns the visitors created the first danger. PSV had the next opportunity to score in the 17th minute after a corner was turned away. Amin's shot was turned away by the De Graafschap goalkeeper. In the 20th minute, the visitors scored the equalizer. At first, Joost managed to take the danger out of De Graafschap's attack. The ball ended up in the feet of an attacker of the visitors, who shot the ball impeccably into the net to make it 1-1. Two minutes later the visitors took the lead after sloppy ball loss in the PSV defense 1-2. One minute later, PSV equalized again. A PSV attack ended up at the feet of Jayden. His shot hit the post. PSV continued to play sloppy football and often made wrong choices. As a result a free kick was given away unnecessarily. This free kick was taken short by the visitors to the outside left. His cross was simply tapped in, 3-3. Five minutes later it was again PSV who scored after a wide pass from Mathijs to Jeremy. Jeremy played himself free and shot high inside from outside the penalty area, 4-3. Three minutes later, PSV extended the lead further. Niek played a deep ball to Jayden. Jayden passed the De Graafschap defender, rounded the goalkeeper and shot 5-3. This was also the final score.
