PSV faced a very defensive opponent in the away match against Sparta that was difficult to play against.
PSV was sloppy in the early stages of the match. Lots of ball loss in midfield allowed Sparta to become dangerous from the counter.
In the 1st half we were unable to create chances. Sparta scored 2 goals in the final phase of the 1st half.
Half-time score 2-0.
In the 2nd half, PSV went in search of the tying goal. A great chance from Niels Wouters and a distance shot by Kaan Baysal were unfortunately not taken.
PSV wanted to pick up the pace in the second half but just like in the first half, a lot of ball loss was the result. Unfortunately it was an off day for all of us.
