Today the first return was scheduled against Wodan. Initially the game went well. After an error of judgement by our defense, the striker of Wodan was free to look for our goalie and scored 0-1. In the first half, PSV did not create a single opportunity. Our passing was impure, we played without confidence and the pace was far too slow. We were very disappointed with the first half.

Half-time score 0-1.

After halftime, PSV started as they did in the first half. Not well. Within five minutes it was 0-2 from a nice long distance shot. After 35 minutes PSV got off to a good start and we scored twice. A nice combination allowed Joey to finish off a pass from Mats, 1-2. A minute later PSV came alongside. From a corner kick by Gioele Martijn managed to work the ball into the goal 2-2. After this brief revival, PSV unfortunately fell back into the pattern of the first half. This left the 2-2 on the scoreboard. In the last minute, PSV almost got the victory, but the ball was cleared off the line just in time by Wodan. By the way, this victory would not have been deserved.

PSV showed resilience in the second half by brushing away the deficit. Compliments on that. About the course of the match and the way we played we are unfortunately disappointed. We have to do better next week.
