Jason Culina and Stef Nijland start against Heerenveen

PSV coach Huub Stevens has been forced to make two changes from the team that beat Heracles Almelo 4-0 last weekend and suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands Atlético Madrid on Wednesday. Jason Culina replaces Erik Pieters, who is ill, and Stef Nijland deputizes for the injured Ibrahim Afellay, when PSV take on sc Heerenveen at the Abe Lenstra Stadium tonight.

Dirk Marcellis
Defender Dirk Marcellis has returned to full fitness but starts on the bench. The same goes for Reimond Manco who was unable to join the squad in Madriday on international duty with Young Peru. If PSV record a victory, they will leapfrog FC Groningen, who slipped to a 2-0 defeat at home against leaders AZ on Friday night. Trond Sollied's team will move above PSV, provided they grab all three points. If the two teams settle for a draw, PSV will maintain their two-point lead over sc Heerenveen. Kickoff is at 8.45pm
