Young PSV record 4-0 win over Roda JC

Young PSV continued their 100 per cent start to the season with a 4-0 win at home to Roda JC on Monday night. Jürgen Locadia, Gianluca Maria and the Uruguayan Ruben Bentancourt got their names on the score sheet for Marco Roelofsen´s team.

Young team

Young PSV coach Marco Roelofsen fielded a young team, handing a start to Under-19 player Mohamed Rayhi and 20-year old defender Casper van Beers, who joined PSV from Willem II in the summer. Youngsters Hjörtur Hermannsson, Jorrit Hendrix, Farshad Noor and Eric Verstappen were on the bench. Locadia gave PSV the lead on the half-hour mark with a shot that took a deflection: 1-0. Maria doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time 2-0. Locadia scored his second goal of the night in the 60th minute and substitute Bentancourt made it four with eight minutes remaining.

Nine points from three games

The result moved Marco Roelofsen´s side onto nine points from three games. Young PSV are now the only unbeaten team in their league. They are top of the table, having scored thirteen goals and conceded none. Next week, they will face Heracles Almelo, who were beaten 4-2 by Vitesse/AGOVV on Monday night.

Ruben Bentancourt scored Young PSV´s fourth goal.
