Tests in Barcelona on Tuesday
“These excellent 750 horsepower, V12 powered Superleague Formula cars will be able to hold their own with the best racing cars from the Formula I and ChampCar World Series, as far as speed and performance are concerned. With 750 horsepower, it is going to be a lot more powerful than a GP2 car. I can’t wait to drive it and am really looking forward to trying it out in Barcelona next week”, told Buurman PSV TV, who went to Bornem in Belgium to have a look in the workshops where experienced mechanics were hard at work to prepare the car as the first race of the season approaches on August 30/31at Britain’s Donington Park. The driver himself will be called into action on Tuesday when he is going to test the PSV racing car at the Barcelona circuit.

“Balance of the car”
“The cars are brand new and need to be tuned up, so we are on for a very interesting week in Spain”, said the enthusiastic test driver. “We will thoroughly test every element of its design. We will not only make speed tests but also find out how the car responds to the road’s corners at variable speeds. The most important thing of all is to have a good balance at all competitive moments. That’s why test days are so important. And the advantage is that we can solve any problems on the spot.”
The crew are still working hard preparing the brand new PSV racing car.
“Looking forward to competing”
Yelmer Buurman and his team will assess the racing test days to see if they continue the cooperation so that Buurman is set to drive the PSV racing car in the Superleague Formula. “I am looking forward to competing in the Superleague Formula and would be delighted to represent PSV in the world of racing.”
