PSV´s Head of Academy Wiljan Vloet has been appointed as head coach of N.E.C. in Nijmegen. Vloet has agreed a two-and-a-half year contract with his new club. PSV would like to thank Vloet for his contribution to the youth academy.
Raised the standard
“Wiljan has raised the standard of the youth development scheme to a higher level”, says General manager Jan Reker. “With Wiljan Vloet in charge, PSV aimed for an even better and more professionalised education in many fields for their youth players. We are grateful for his work. More full-time coaches were appointed to important youth team positions. He made an optimal use of the training facilities at De Herdgang and has been a frontrunner of modern methods. We wish him the best of luck in his future career”, said Reker. Vloet previously worked as head coach at ADO Den Haag, Sparta Rotterdam, Roda JC and FC Den Bosch.
