Van den Bunder and Reker leave PSV

PSV has announced that the current contract with Commercial Director Marcel van den Bunder, which will expire on 1 May 2010, will not be extended. The board of directors recognise the Commercial Director’s qualities and dedication, but want to give the position a different interpretation.

The Board asked General Manager Jan Reker to extend his current contract, due to expire on 30 June 2010. Jan Reker has turned down the request, which the Boards regrets.

“We want to give the position of Commercial Director a different interpretation in future. We intend to combine the positions of Commercial Director and General Manager and are searching for a person who possesses management skills and commercial experience as well as affinity for football”, said Frits Schuitema, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
